    Below are groups that need your volunteer service. Please contact us to serve on a committee or council.

  • Chamber Ambassadors

    Chair: Charisse Braxton, Kaiser Permanente
    Mission: To serve as liaisons and ambassadors between the Chamber and our members. Chamber Partners are responsible for contacting new members, inviting members to events and activities, assist at ribbon cuttings, coordinate first time attendee introductions at Networking Series events, volunteer on annual membership campaigns and assist with event registration.
    Meeting Dates: 1st Thursday, Chamber Office, 8:30 a.m. 

  • Economic Development Committee

    Chair: Dr. Victoria Seals, Atlanta Technical College
    Mission: To facilitate discussion on the various economic development initatives that will create a diverse inventory of employment for the citizens of Clayton County and its municipalities. 
    Meeting Dates: As needed, Chamber Office 

  • Education Committee

    Chair: Dr. Tim Hynes, Clayton State University
    Mission: To provide a forum for businesses to engage in educational issues and to actively support quality education in Clayton County. The Education Committee plans and executes the Principal Partner’s Day program.
    Meeting Dates: As needed, Chamber Office

  • Golf Committee
    Mission: To plan and execute the Chamber Annual Golf Invitational.
    Meeting Dates: As needed, Chamber Office

  • Governmental Affairs Council

    Chair: Charlene Craig, SunTrust Bank
    Mission: To provide a forum for members to discuss government affairs matters on a local, state, and federal level. The Government Affairs Council will also discuss legislative issues that affect the business community and plan the annual Clayton County Chamber Day at the Capitol.
    Meeting Dates: As needed, Chamber Office

  • Leadership Clayton Advisory Board (By Invitation Only)


    Mission: To engage emerging and existing leaders in a nine-month leadership development program that broadens their knowledge of the issues facing Clayton County, sharpens their leadership skills and challenges them and others to seek solutions to the issues affecting our community.
    Meeting Dates: 3rd Wednesday, Chamber Office, 4:00 p.m.

  • Military Affairs Council (MAC)

    Chair: Starlyn Baxter
    Mission: To plan and execute the Chamber Annual Veterans Day Luncheon.
    Meeting Dates: As needed, Chamber Office

  • Small Business Development Group (SBDG)

    Chair: Celiann Ojeda de Young, State Farm
    Mission: To provide educational programs and events that focuses on small businesses and benefits the membership at large. The SBDG plans and executes the Small Business Workshops, Showcase Clayton Business & Community Expo, and coordinates the Small Business of the Year Award.

     

  • Women in Business Executive Council 

    Chair: Coylitia Williamson O’Neal, We Care Interprises
    Mission: To provide an environment where professional women can network and share information essential to their business, professional and personal lives. The WIBC provides programs and services to promote and support women in all areas of business, government and education. The WIBC plans and executes the Annual Women in Business Luncheon and the Quarterly Women in Business Council events and coordinates the Business Woman of the Year Award. The Council also oversees and manages the WIBC Mentoring Program.
    Meeting Dates: 1st Wednesday, Chamber Office, 8:30 a.m.
